what part of the graph is the “I bought what is within my budget and performance target”?

  2. Not_You_247

About 2 standard deviations to the right, I still have some RGB stuff, but they are set to either off or white lights.

  3. Playful-Mix8273

I use Brave, have RGB, and use entry level studio headphones. Where does that put me?

  4. saxovtsmike

Noctua airccoled build with external dac, and never used anything else than ff

  5. Strongit

I’m fairly far to the right. I only have RGB because I have to; the non-RGB version of my motherboard was more expensive at the time.

  6. bife_de_lomo

I’m in my “stick it in a server rack under my desk to hide it all away” phase.

Getting the guts of the PC into a 4u case and getting it off the desk/floor was a revelation, and I don’t feel like I’ve lost much in the way of performance.

  7. ArmeniusLOD

Deific phase because I don’t care what other people think.

Where is im poor as frack part of the graph where I have been using budget or hands my downs all my life.

somewhere between “gamer phase” and “enlightment”.

my PC is black and white, with the RGB set to static blue. I love my illuminated mech keyboard, and “gaming” headset (which is more of a nice headphones with a mic), but also went for bookshelf speakers and plain black mouse mat..

Just a bit in the gamer phase and a bit in the enlightenment phase. Still love me some lights in my computer and multiple monitors but I also love my custom keyboards and ‘audiophile’ headphones.

  11. huchuchhuch

Enlightment with no budjet, at least I use firefox

  12. JoeThrilling

I’m all the way to the right except for Chrome, because I’m a bitch.

  13. 0ctoxVela

Somewhere in between the gamer and enlightenment phase

  14. I’ve been in the enlightenment phase forever, not through choice, just the fact that in the mid 90s PCs were a luxury good and “gaming” marketing wasn’t a thing yet. Though I did switch to Chrome way back when I was doing web development and it was the fastest browser around for running JavaScript, and the only browser at the time with a built in debugger.

  15. Sioscottecs23

where’s the “cheap-ass peripherals but really good pc and i still use Opera Gx”?

  16. Never had a ‘gamer’ phase. I don’t see the appeal. Maybe I’m old.

  17. alexdiezg

Am I in superposition for using Chrome and mouse like on the left but case and headsets like on the right?

  18. normllikeme

Been on Firefox since the beginning. Otherwise that’s pretty spot on

  19. AHumbleChad

Never used Opera, switched to Firefox from Chrome last year cause of Manifest v3. Always hated RGB. Built my current PC 4 years ago.

  20. pulselasersftw

What if I’ve never used chrome before and never had RGBQT+ lights? Does that mean I was born into enlightenment?

  21. Midwest-Designs

Enlightenment. Not a single LED on my computer. RGB on my G502 hero set to off.

  22. BotaniFolf

Between 70th and 80th percentile. I use a laptop since I’m a student and need to move around, but apart from that I haven’t gone for things with flashy lights or sharp edges. Illuminated keyboard is nice for low ligjt though.

    Also Librewolf forever

  23. Robsteady

“Enlightenment”, but I never went through the “gamer” phase. I never saw the appeal of all the RGB and neon purple and blue color themes.

  24. MuzzledScreaming

That case in the enlightment phase looks an awful lot like the Corsair one I have been using for 14 years now. It has a metal mesh side so you can mount a big exhaust fan on it and I will never ever give it up.

  25. ApachePrimeIsTheBest

Enlightenment but i dont buy bougee shit. I use cheaper studio monitors and midrange peripherals
