Made the cables myself in June 2023 and have had no issues until today when my PC black screen abruptly and wouldn't boot. Hours of troubleshooting later and found one of the 8 pin connectors to be melted.

    Not gonna lie I’m doing a case swap soon and I got a 4080S with cablemod (full replacement psu cable for my psu) cable and I’ve caught myself thinking about that connector. I typically just run the card out of the box but I did have a period of oc’ing it a little above 3000mhz and pulling its max allowed power.

    That problem is still around? Sometimes i think they intentionally made those connectors defective….
