Yeah, now that is a pretty sweet system, shows you how much the Korean education system is paying for some quite decent gaming computers!

I assume this is not North Korea.

  4. Ok_Fee_2170

Are you serious or is this a joke lol?? I mean this specs are way too high in my opinion even for a university

  5. BussyLiquidator

Definitely not the norm, I worked there for years.

Memes with “I swear this PC for education” is legit for SK

Cries in 10 year old celeron shitbox

  8. Impressive setups your school got, especially with that 4070. Gotta love the inclusion of that keyboard with such a high-end system, looks pretty funny ngl

My school’s PCs (well, the one I just finished) had Xeons, or 10th-12th gen i5’s. My study involved using AutoCAD and the like, so they must have some decent specs, but still pretty damn good. The software config was trash tho (final year we had to manually run the login script.. the fuck lol), but the hardware was great.

I do remember the school I was in before that, had bought new Dell AIO computers with a 5th gen i5 or something like that. Although that was like 8 years ago. At that same time there were also a few old Optiplexes left with some C2D era Pentium, but those were quite rare luckily (around 6 of them in one of the buildings).

And my primary school had those NEC sff PCs, with a Pentium D. Didn’t really know much about computers back then and they were fast enough for kids <12 running some basic software on them, with XP as the OS. Was pre-2014. I think they replaced the teacher’s computers with newer Windows 7 systems back then, around the time I left.

Is someone mining Bitcoins on Korean school computers?

My school got i7 12700 cpus with 32gb of ram. Not gpu tho :(.

  13. blacklotusY

GPU running at 97% with 84C seems a bit high. I would definitely get that checked.

    >Average school pc in korea
    >Not average at all

I am Korean and my high school (graduated 2021) still had core 2 duos running and some 3rd gen i5s

At my school we have a dedicated e-sports classroom, it’s used for, well, playing games, developing games, blender, autocad. The PCs have i5 13600KF, 3080, 32Gb ram, we have 1440p 240hz monitors, g502, gaming headset and keyboard.. other classrooms for office stuff have i3 12100 and 16Gb ram.

  16. My university got the T400s lmao. These are in bulk from HP/Dell (about 200~ in my college), so pretty much they had a discount on them, i7 12700 too.

  17. kerthard

Does this manage to get the truly impressive “it’s worse than dell” award?

  18. stackfrost

Not from Korea but school does have about 25-30 PCs with these kinds of specs for people who wanna use them from AI/ML stuff.

i7 11700K, 64 Gigs 3600 Mhz, RTX 3080 and some with older 2080s. (They don’t allow installation of videogames lol)

Rest are very basic, i7 8700K with 16 gigs of ram. We recently had a few with Ryzen 5 8600g.

  19. Clearly fake, I don’t see Starcraft anywhere

  20. Wrong. This can’t be Korea. I don’t see League of Legends on there.

How the actual fuck?! Man, I should’ve went to this school!

    Also, fellow DCS player spotted!

In our 3D design computer lab we have pc’s with a 5th gen i5, 16gb ddr4 ram and a nvidia quadro k620. All the other pc’s in school the run off igpu’s and also have either 5th, 6th or 7th gen i5 cpu’s

  23. rishthecoolguy

This is fake you probably got it from some kind of market place
