Stability? A poor quality DP cable produces image dropouts or no image at all. A poor quality VGA cable will still give you a stable image, it’ll just be shitty.

No, VGA is more stable than display port(it’s analogue and doesn’t need super signal integrity).
Also even esp32 can do VGA. And both old ass CRTs, LCDs and projectors may use it.
