Rogue is speaking in reference to corpos. I realize the story is from the 1800s and not our modern day but it’s funny to hear her reference him.

Wouldn’t it be Scrooge McDuck, since she’s referencing someone being obscenely rich?

Keanu Reeves also exists in that universe

I totally see how thats jarring. But i think Cyberpunk was supposed to be a fairly realistic interpretation(albeit hyperbolized for fun) of our heading as a society. So Ebenezer Scrooge would probably still be a literary paradigm

Our entire history of the World up until 1986 is canon in the Cyberpunk Universe. It’s kinda funny because in the lore, Mike Pondsmith predicted the collapse of Disney in the 90’s, but in Cyberpunk they didn’t survive and ended up abandoning Disney World. The Bloods, (you know, the guys who hate the blue guys?) Yes THOSE Bloods, became Nomads and ended up settling in Walt Disney World and became performers. Eventually Disney comes back with the help of NUSA and evicts the Bloods.

That’s a very brief summary, but ye. Something like that.

It is our universe, with changes in the mid to late 1900s. That lead to the big changes in the 2000s.
