But the first time I saw Samus’ face reflected in the visor against a bright light was just *chef’s kiss.*
That attention to detail (also found in the scan info and visual design) just set the game apart.

Im just going to say it because I don’t see anyone else talking about it. I love metroid, I love Samus, but this looks extremely dated (and I don’t mean just graphics, thats a small part of the big picture). I feel like the only thing keeping it alive is the love, hype, and nostalgia people had for the original Metroid series. Im open to see a gameplay trailer to change my mind but Nintendo is consistently disappointing me.

It’s awesome that we finally get to see some footage and the game looks great! Part of me wishes it was exclusive to Switch II though. I only say that because the S2 version will look better, and have better frame rates, but the game as a whole will still be limited in scope by the technical limitations of the switch.
