Not sure how i missed this, but it turns out there was a Blade Runner anime, “Blade Runner: Black Lotus”, from Shinji Aramaki… wondering if it was any good before taking the plunge to watch it…

I saw it on Toonami, it was *not* good. It took forever to get to the main plot, but then when they get there, they rush through it!

I couldn’t get through 3 episodes before turning it off. IMO Shinji Aramaki has always been style over substance…and there was really nothing in Black Lotus that was appealing to me.

It’s good, as long as you realize they’re not making an anime Blade Runner, they’re making a Blade Runner anime. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Having fight scenes in between the tendentious philosophizing isn’t the worst thing.
It’s certainly not on the level of the films, but what is.

I tried, I suffered, I finished the whole thing. It was unbearably slow, even during the action sequences I felt like I was only fed the smallest amount of story progression. I’ve seen all of the blade runner media and this anime in particular stands out as the bottom of the barrel

I bought it, but haven’t gotten around to watching it yet. The graphic novel by the same name is fun though!

Where can I watch it?

I liked it a lot. (Looking at some of the other comments, I might want to add that I’m easily entertained when I’m watching/reading/playing something that is Cyberpunk)

My partner and I liked it. It wasn’t amazing. But we enjoyed our time with it.

Idk why everyone is so negative about it. I found it pretty good.

Needs a serious edit down to its substance, then a title change. Even then it’d only be *okay*.
