I plan to build my first PC and would appreciate every advice I can get. I was wondering what you guys think of this composition I put together and if you have any advice on which components I should replace. This is my first time actually building a PC so have mercy, haha.

Re: Fans, I wouldn’t bother changing the stock front since you won’t be able to see much of it anyway. Personally, I’d go with air cooling. It’ll be good enough for your CPU, and fewer moving parts means fewer things to go wrong.
That aside, it sounds like a solid build. If you’re adding extra fans, just make sure it intakes from the front and exhausts out of the back & top, and maybe run a pair of spare SATA power & data cables to one of the 2.5 inch SSD mounts, just in case you want to add more storage in the future, and you don’t have any more spare M.2 Slots. It’ll only cost you a few minutes of time now, and will potentially save you a half hour or so down the road.
and remember the most important part of a PC build. DO NOT PUT THE SIDE PANEL BACK ON before you do a power-on test. You don’t want to anger the Gods with your hubris of thinking that you did everything right the first time. 😛

Out of interest, what is the planned use case for this PC?
Overall it’s fairly well balanced but if you have any kind of particular usage in mind there might be adjustments that will improve your experience at little to no extra cost.
Also I agree with u/siamesekiwi that the fans that come stock with the case should be fine as a starting point, they’re also fairly easy to swap out later if you decide that you want something else. I also personally prefer an air cooler, I’m running a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 with zero issues and it’s nice and quiet.

Fractal default fans are super good. Get extra fractal fans instead of thermalright fans
Also for psu. I would suggest to go for 1000-1200w for this build

I personally love my North and I really wish the XL version was out at the time I was building my rig. I’d have loved to be able to fit in it a 420mm Arctic Freezer 3 (which has a considerably thicker radiator!). I’d go with the mesh side panel and tone down the RGB though. RGB can still shine through the mesh and it’s kinda cool to look at. It’s a lovely understated case that really doesn’t need much to look good.

I’d wait untill the 9800X3D comes out. But that’s just what I would do and if you want a PC right now there’s no better option than a 7800X3D. Other than that I’d say it’s a really good build.

Get an air cooler like phantom spirit for the same price as an peerless assassin, If you want an aio then there are many thermalright budget AIOs available for 50-60$
Get cheaper cases for around 80-100$ and save 100$ there and upgrade the 7900 gre to a 7900 XT
I would also recommend getting little bit better mobo If possible, something like the b650e pg Riptide wifi would be the best for 180$
You can also consider cheaper ssd’s , they’d perform the same , something like sn580 / mp44l / nm790 / sn770
You can get the 7800x3d off AliExpress for 280$ to save more money and yes it’s completely safe just check that the sold should be 80+

I know that 2TB is a relatively big number for storage, but if you’re planning to store any kind of media (music, video, photos), I would really, really recommend getting some HDDs and setting up a backup scheme. That is, if you don’t have one in place already. This will also have other benefits, such as making it easier to do a complete wipe of your PC if/when needed.

Was there a specific reason that it is an AMD GPU or just general advice from the subreddit?
Imo there is a pretty huge AMD (atleast for GPUs) bias here

If it’s for gaming (which it seems) I’d get another disk with at least 1TB space. 2TB for the game 1TB for all other.
