I was expecting Gears 6 but it is a surprise to be sure but a welcome one.
They have rubbed salt in the wound by playing mad world during trailer.

Genuinely the only announcement short of a Halo resurgence that might convince me to buy an Xbox. Delighted.
This has been the first time since gears 3 that I’ve been hyped for gears again this looks amazing
Here’s my crackpot theory: they want Gears 6 to be a release title for the next console, so we’re getting this to satiate us until then. Potentially also an original trilogy collection IF the console is really far away.

I want multiplayer to be nothing but shotgun vs shotgun again. Last I played was Gears 4, which was good, but riddled with scummy micro transactions.

As soon as I saw that brown arm grab Marcus they had me. I knew SOMEONE was gonna save him at some point during the trailer but I thought maybe it’d be his dad. We are deff gonna get to see the original formation of phoenix squad.
