After seeing So Mi’s memories of how she was coerced into joining the FIA and being experimented on until she’s stripped of most of her body parts and memories, I came to the realization that it was the uploading of the ICE Breaker (in Fire Starter) that pushed her past the point of no return. In the final descent into the chaos of rogue AIs beyond the blackwall, she kept her last bit of humanity and remarked that the only bit of memory worth having is when she’s back home with a friend by her side, and for once, she was not alone. When she begged me to end her life, I brawed my eyes out. It’s beautiful in a tragic way and I will never want to revisit this path ever again. But knowing that this is what things could have been for her, I will choose forever siding with her as my cannon, even if I know full well she’s using me in order to obtain freedom. She’s like another version of me (V) and although I know I will fail, helping her to escape is a dream come true for me in another life. Here’s my conclusion of Phantom Liberty. It’s never been V’s story to begin with, but So Mi’s all along.!<

A, we all make mistakes.
B, those Hansen and MAX-TAC fights are preem, even if you hate Cerebrus.
But now all you can do is end her suffering. Don’t delude yourself for one more moment into thinking the NUSA will help her.

First time : Sided with reed then this scene Broke me(pulled the plug)
Second time : sided with so mi then felt betrayed…although I can take that …but what I couldn’t take was Johnny’s “I told you so” moment right after
Third time : “choices have consequences” run

As someone who trophy hunts, I had to do all the endings. >!killing so mi and the suicide ending broke me!<

Phantom Liberty had really nice endings, my first was helping So Mi all the way (king of wands) and it is still my favorite ending mostly cuz I hated the FIA and Reed is so manupulative.
Then I found out siding with Reed gives exclusive weapons and extra ending so I had to try it and give So Mi up to Reed and got my new ending and what a fucking disaster that was, worst ending for me even worse than suicide and devil.
After 600 hours in the game I usually go for helping Reed and killing Song then fliping off Mayers with my shiny blackwall weapons or king of wands for quantom tuner

Idk I never liked or cared for her, so I’m pretty reluctant about doing her ending on my second playthrough. Killing her just felt right.

I sided with Reed and kept her alive the first time, but next time I’m going to kill her or send her the moon, to get her out of Myers’ hands. Yeah she can probably get herself a new runner to fuck with the Blackwall, but she wouldn’t be trying so hard to get Songbird back if that wouldn’t be a major inconvenience to her at least.

It’s a hard mission to take, but it at the same time reinforces for me why I picked Reed. Because through it all you can see how deeply Reed cares about Somi, as terribly flawed as he is. I never got anywhere the same sense to the same degree from Somi.
I also kind of think given the hints dropped in Somi’s ending that really the best ending is for her to die – get suffering stops, and so does her weaponization and threat to humanity (which seems inevitable in any other choice).
But I do really want to mess with the quantum tuner…

The voice actress did a fucking phenomenal job.
I just finished my second playthrough of Phantom Liberty and I can’t bear the thought of betraying her. But out of curiosity I watched YouTube videos of siding with Reed and I’m crying just from watching them. Her memories and then you see the slow disintegration as Blackwall takes over. Fuck Myers and fuck Reed.
