Bought a used but well-preserved i9-9900KS, and then I modified my Mobo's BIOS, used kapton tapes to isolate THE TINY PINS THAT ARE LESS THAN 1mm.
My eyes were out of focus- I was having a motion sickness. lol.
Conclusion? Works fine for me! Currently putting 1.398v manually to run it on 5.0GHz turbo. Will OC hard after I get some IHS upgrade kit from RockItCool, Enthoo Elite case from Phanteks, and a custom loop made by myself.

May I ask what the kapton tape mod is for?
Some typos: I’ve actually put 1.38V: Ran 0 OC Benchmark like LinX or Prime95… and just went straight to a multiple games to play, and it just works!
And I am currently using XMP… 3866MHz, CL18-18-18-38.

I’m running a QQLS on a MSI z170 X power titanium, runs great at 5.1 although ram can’t go full speed. put a fan on the vrm heatsink and it’s fine
How does that even work without a modded bios?
You know like ram speed is the most important thing for a 9900k z170 performs realy bad at running above 3000 MHz
