If you’re trying to play games that make use of all of its features and are set to 4k resolution with everything cranked, then hell yeah. But that’s the game. There are plenty of current games developed with Unreal that play fine on 10+ year old GPUs

That still kind of sucks.
I don’t use high resolution, but it would seem 4K should be more of a norm by now and a recent enough card of that caliber should still do well enough on modern games without DLSS IMO. Especially considering the high refresh takeover.

My 4090 got at least an average of 90-110fps on 4k max, it’s not extremely optimized but the game does push the boundaries of graphics a bit.

People are stupid or what, look at what’s being captured on that screenshot, just mostly dark smog and rocks… And they can make a 4080 super struggle to render them at 30 fps? ROFLMAO, that’s an utter shite of graphical coding right there, be it from Epic or the game dev.
dont_say_Good
It’s a shame that I can say goodbye to 90+fps almost every time I play an unreal game

Something very wrong there. I am playing on a 4080 Super max settings 4k and get 40fps before any DLSS etc..

Unless you’re pixel peeping you won’t see a difference between very high and high, and the fps loss is like 20-25 sometimes.
Edit – High and medium* not very high and high, had a brain fart

Just beat it on my RX 6600. Loved the visuals , unfortunately my gpu isnt so powerful even though I paid so much for it
I had to pick visuals over performance and was just happy that I was able to play the sequel to a game I enjoyed👍 30-40 fps average depending on scene and sometimes below 30. Its a slow paced game so I didn’t mind it too much but why is there FSR 3 but no frame gen

The 4090 is giving extreme side eye right now.

Unoptimized cinenatic simulator, slept most of the time.
Visuals doesn’t justify the perfomance in any way.

With DLSS and FG I can run this at 120FPS+ with my 4080

Your card is not exactly at the high end in 2024 if you don’t have that much VRAM

I wonder if buying 5090 can make you play any game at 4K maxed out with 60 or 144fps.

What settings are you on and what resolution??
It’s a demanding son of a bitch.
