I just installed Windows 95 on this socket 1700 motherboard with one classic PCI slot (running on bare metal)

  1. Hah! That’s awesome that HWiNFO runs on Windows 95

is that one of those custom server motherboards?

  3. Nice! I’ve had NT4 running on a Xeon E5-2640v3 (8 cores, Haswell-EP), but yours is even newer!

(Hint for anyone trying: Enable legacy CSM, disable any RAID mode, and if you have an option for legacy SATA emulation, enable that too)

How did you limit it to using 256MB of RAM so 95 doesn’t shit itself?

  5. this is cool.

A summer or two ago I tried to setup a Windows 98se rig and a Windows XP rig. The experience was kinda miserable. I guess I didn’t really put enough thought into getting the right drivers I needed. I had completely forgotten about what it was like setting up a windows installation/rig back then.

I’d really like to try it again, but will probably need more prep. My main issue is space right now. Don’t have a lot of space to setup/tinker with another rig.

edit: there is a sub you may be interested in r/dosgaming.

And you may also want to visit [vogons.org](http://vogons.org) Its a cool site dedicated to this kind of stuff.

i3 with a voodoo3 is too funny. When the future and the past collide. Now I want to see a AMD K6 with a 4090

I was watching your youtube videos about this board and started to wonder. If this board is eligible for the ISA breakout on the TPM connector.
