As much as I love my ultra wide, I rarely use it since I primarily use the 27” for multiplayer and competitive games. My ultra wide acts as a second monitor until I play a story game on it (which is rare since most of my story games are on PlayStation whilst going for platinums). Seems pointless keeping a £400 ultra wide when I could replace it with a cheaper 27” then use the money to upgrade other things.

How comfortable is that 27″ to look at?
That’s a question you have to answer yourself. I use my Ultrawide for both these day’s, I won’t go back and I can run 3440×1440 just fine with my system. The only game I have ever struggled to run how I want that I can think of is Darktide.

what will you get for a used ultrawide to put towards presumably a new 27”? Probably not that much so maybe keep it? I mean you can play 16:9 games on the middle if you want, its still useable as a monitor even if it doesn’t use the full size.
