Everything to do with the Peralez family. Felt a pit in my stomach the first time I finished that. Especially when you start thinking about what could happen to the city or their daughter or if Johnny is right, it’s a Rouge AI. There are no good outcomes in that one.

This mission was incredible. Gave my man the most blaze of glory end ever. Music was creepy af too.

The most paychologically messed up story was the… well.. I want you to realize that outside of a few minor characters (and a few fixers) every single person you interact with suffers horribly. Either some horrific loss, a mutilation, death, or just pain. Panama, Wakako, Judy, Johnny, Songbird, Jackie’s mom, Hanako, you name it.

In Night City not only are there no happy endings, there’s almost never been any middlin endings. They’re all horrible.

That’s the story that messes you up. For all it’s neon beauty it’s a living hell.

It’s one of those things you never even notice, like how nearly all of Elden Rings major zones contain a dominant mother figure defined by birth or death (or both). But once you see it you can’t unsee it.

    Caelid – The dragon mother
    Deep root depths – fia
    Consecrated snowfields – giant albinauric
    Volcano Manor – Tannith
    Altus Plateau – Marika
    Liurnia – Rennala

There’s more but you get the idea.

Honestly the veteran who offs himself because he can’t get any help. It’s shorter than some of these bigger missions but pretty much one of the realest stories in the game.

The kid farm that River’s nephew was caught up in.

Siding with reed and having song ask you to kill her is probably up there

Probably gotta go with the serial killer that rivers saved his nephew from

Using the kids as like cows or some shit was gross
