sony doesnt sell a pc. so they gotta push the playstation.

  2. TheRealTormDK

There’s no universe where I would decide to switch from PC to console. It makes no sense to begin with.

  3. wait long enough and it’ll be ported to PC when they need $$

  5. marquesmelo

For me, going from PC gaming to console is not in my plans…

  6. Logical_Bit2694

I’m not moving full time back to console where I went from console to pc. I don’t see myself doing that tbh

  7. DrKrFfXx

I mean, if mid range parts continue rising in prices without rhyme or reason other than greed, I wouldn’t blame anyone switching to consoles.

  8. rcarnes911

The last console I bought was 15+ years ago and exclusives have never made me but one

  9. RunalldayHI

I thought the mission in life was to make it to pc from console? 2024 is so weird.

  10. Vandelar28

I only am keeping my ps5 for college football 25 lol.

  11. Slayvantz

I’m not sure the logic checks out. I got a PS5 early on because I never expected the exclusives to be ported to PC. Now I’d be better off getting rid of the PS5.

  12. jahermitt

As someone with a PS5 and a PC, the PS5 is gathering dust. The switch however, lots of fun.

  13. Stilgar314

The only people who have a PC and buy a PS are all of those who buy every platform. I don’t think there’s any way to make that group significantly grow.

  14. Awkward_Attitude_886

Their rationale is we have money to spend on pc parts so why not waste 500 on their little shitbox too. And the subscription I’ll likely need. Don’t forget about the tiny little piece they spent 4 cent too little on that’s going to crap out right after warranty expires. It use to be that you upgrade to the next system when they had enough intrigue to make you purchase them. Now it’s depreciated so much that they force you into it.

  15. dwolfe127

I have never seen a reason to limit myself to one platform. PC, Console, whatever. If there is a game I want to play I do not give a shit what I play it on. If given the option and it is available I will always choose to play it on PC though.

  16. The company wanting PCMRs to buy a console that costs the company money to begin with since the product costs more than the sale price is is dumb. Just sell us games. Make the money off the game or don’t.

No PCMRs want to buy shitty hardware with no benefit over our $3k PCs that can do a million more things than your sandboxed garbage hardware.

  17. Error83_NoUserName

Ha! Jokes on them. Never ever will I buy in a closed ecosystem where i don’t have full control over the things i own and bought.

Don’t come whining when they take away your money, license, or whatever excuse they come up about a warranty.

  18. BeerGogglesFTW

Will I go from PC to console? No.

Will I buy a console to play in conjunction with my PC? Sure. I own a switch. I owned a PS4 Pro.

But PC remains the primary device and gets more than 90% of my time. (Probably more)

  19. golddilockk

in reality it’s always the other way round. you start with a console as it is easier to convince parents to get you one and then slowly migrate to a proper gaming pc

  20. thatdudeoverdthee

This is just not happening or even being tried, why do pc fanboys make up such shit.

  21. MEGA_GOAT98

there only doing the – PSN thing to “boost there numbers to investers” by saying oh look we have more ppl on our network gib us money .

  22. I’m not gonna buy your console, but I *will* emulate it on my PC just to piss you off.

  23. Dr_Banana_Ninja

PlayStation is full of terrible ideas lately. Nothing new.

  24. Zypharium

I will only buy a PlayStation Vita 2, nothing else. Almost every game on PS5 is also available for PC. Why would I buy a PS5 then?

  25. 7r1x1z4k1dz

That’s an enormous forehead in the thumbnail!

  26. ilJumperMT

Why no complaints about all the accounts you need to have. Some companies not only want you to have an account, but a launcher too.

  27. Competitive-Bit-1571

So are they going to release terribly optimized games on pc so that pc gamers decide to get a ps5 for a better experience or something?

  28. __TheWaySheGoes

I don’t know about anyone else but it’s had the opposite effect for me. It made me sell my PS5. Why pay full price for a day 1 release if I can get it on PC with the DLC and patches eventually? I don’t have FOMO for a single player game lol.

  29. BlacksmithOk3198

Unless the PlayStation can play cs2 at 300 fps locked, no thanks.

  30. TheonlyrealJedi

The thing is that almost everyone who plays almost or fully exclusively on PC does so very deliberately and for specific reasons. It’s More expensive and inconvenient to get into, so when you decide to go that route you likely have reason for doing so and wont suddenly turn back. I won’t buy a PS5 and renounce all of the PC benefits just because there are one or two Games exclusive to PlayStation.

  31. They are fighting so hard because consoles allowed them to sell multiple copies of the same game without even doing remastering. But those days are coming to an end

  32. HankThrill69420

we don’t want your janky hardware, sony. that’s why a lot of us are here. Go back to focusing on good speakers and stereos please.

  33. Nomnom_Chicken

I’m not going to switch from PC to console.

  34. DabScience

I remember when I switched over to PC. I tried to go back to play a game with a friend on my Xbox a few months later. 30 fps locked, looked like shit, it literally gave me a headache. Never going back to that shit

  35. rednitro

This is a terible idea, a war you won’t win Snoy.

  36. Digital_Dinosaurio

Nintendo had the right idea sticking to handhelds. It’s why Gabe worked on the Steam Deck instead of Portal/TF/L4D 3.

  37. Drodriguez164

Went from big time console guy to only PC with my PS4 collecting dust. Just miles better and more practical to have. Also I got banned from PlayStation services so they made it easy for me

  38. I switch from the PS ecosystem 2 years ago and I’m never going back. Even if that means never playing a PS exclusive again.

  39. NetherGamingAccount

I tried this once, Xbox 360 was the console.

Turned out to be a waste of money.

  40. lolman469

Im on oc because i like tinkering with mu gpu and cpu. I cant do that on console, so if i had choose between console and not gaming ever again…

I guess ill go solve the myth of this “grass” stuff i keep getting told to touch.

  41. When Sony first started releasing PC games, reddit’s general take was exactly that and I thought to myself no way Sony is this stupid. They are surely not as dumb as reddit.

But it seems reddit was right all along.

  42. Phoeptar

They are pushing for BOTH here. And it’s been succeeding for years. This isn’t like the first time they’ve made PC ports, and it’s shown them that it translates to new console owners. Sony knows what they are doing. They know that there are PC players that at any given time may consider a console, and they want them to choose PlayStation and PC ports makes the choice easier.

  43. Chet_Manley_71

Lol it’s not terrible, it’s an obvious marketing move that any console maker should do.

  44. Lastraven587

I saw the thumbnail and honestly thought it was Scrotus from Mad Max

  45. InfernalGloom

Lmao I didn’t even do that for Xbox and they think I’ll do it for PS5? 😂.

I’m good, so many other games and things to do on PC.

  46. TheValgus

Sony thinks I’m gonna plop down hundreds of dollars to buy some gaming hardware from four years ago that’s much slower than my computer?

    😂

Y’all are basically like Apple trying to lock an app to only running on an iPhone 11 and then complaining no one wants to buy it.

Here’s an idea hear me out: what if you made the PS5 something that people actually wanted to purchase just in general instead of spending millions of dollars to develop games that you refuse to sell on any other platform.
