Probably about what they’re worth. The pair of i5 6500s are the only thing I’d even bother to try to do something with.

  2. you should have charge them 4$ for saving them storage space.

I5 6500 could actually be used for a home use server or something similar. The rest is worth nore in materials than performance.

De-lid and frame, maybe. Or if you get another ~50 of ’em, make a chess board with half LGA up, half LGA down, bound in transparent epoxy.

Hey OP, you can get gold using these and make some big cash money.

    First, take off a sock.

    Fill it with the CPUs.

    Go to a jewellery store,

Use the CPU-sock to smash n’ grab the gold finery.

If they work you can get a few dollars from the i5 6500 and i3/5 4th gen.

those Core 2 Duo and Athlon II CPUs bring back some memories. Would be fun to build a system out of some of those.

    _”I crave moar cores, father!”_

_Hush my little glutton, have sum-moar._

Edit: If chrome is to ram, then core is to…?

  9. Maybe in 2040, someone will post a picture of 13 CPUs, Ryzen 7000s, 5000s, etc. saying he bought it for a few dollars.

Or maybe 2040 is the aftermath of Nuclear war, he says he scored a gold mine and those chips will be extremely valuable.

  10. There are two i5 6500s which can vaguely do stuff. The rest? Junk.

You know it’s kind if funny that people are making tea coasters out of i5 6500 and they cost 40-45 USD in my country.

Most of the time the CPU’s are just fine. The problem is that you cannot find compatible motherboards for them.
