Studio and publisher Skydance Games offered a first look at gameplay for its upcoming action adventure VR game, Skydance’s BEHEMOTH, slated to release later this year. The gameplay trailer offers viewers a glimpse of the breathtaking traversal gameplay, brutal physics-based hand-to-hand combat and larger-than-life boss battles that await them.

Skydance’s BEHEMOTH tells an original story set in the Forsaken Lands, the plague-ravished wasteland of a once glorious empire, where its inhabitants are driven mad and cities have fallen to ruin. Players take on the role of a cursed warrior embarking on a perilous quest to rid the Lands of an insurmountable threat: the monstrous Behemoths.

In glorious VR fashion, this treacherous journey will bring the warrior to their limits, requiring their wits, skills, and unyielding determination to overcome whatever brutality the Forsaken Lands have in store for them.

    I have to make a choice. Quest³ or PlayStation VR2?(currently have Quest², gaming pc and a PS5) I think the Quest³ is going to have some interesting exclusives coming up(Batman?!?!), but my gaming PC is showing it's age, I'd like to tap into the power of my PS5 for some vr gaming.

    I was hoping this would be shadow of the colossus in vr. It seems more focused on fighting people which is disappointing

    This game actually looks worth putting some time into, which is pretty rare for VR in the age of lawn mowing and power washing simulators 😏

    Heck yes! And with the PSVR2 on sale, and what looks like PC support on the way… It feels like Sony is repitching what has always been a brilliant headset.

    Skydance understands how important hands/arms, their animations, and their weight are to the VR experience!!!

    By gameplay alone, this will easily become one of the greatest VR experiences available. Let’s just hope there’s plenty on content and progression systems in place to keep us engaged and coming back for more 🙏

    I wish you could play vr games without the headset, there is one I would like to play (not this one)
