So I was trying to get the highest score possible in 3dmark steel nomad, I managed to get top 15 with 7466 points: https://www.3dmark.com/sn/137426
My question: How does the number 3 in the list for 4080 super get 600 points higher than me with almost 300mhz lower core clock speeds?

Am I missing some trick here to increase scores by that much?
I'm already doing things like: lower desktop resolution and monitor hz, disable gsync etc, run little to no other programs, 1 monitor etc.

TLDR: There are unscrupulous people that intentionally raise their VRAM speed high enough to be unstable, causing the bench to become corrupted, but still keep running. This can greatly increase the score. This is why HWBot (benchmark competition site) requires ECC On for the 40 series GPUs now.
If so many people weren’t POS, we wouldn’t have this issue, but they are.
