Is there a game (or franchise) that you personally enjoy despite being looked down upon by the gaming landscape at large as "bad"? Plus, what is it that makes you enjoy it?
I find myself coming back to Call of Duty quite routinely much to the disgust of Gamers™️, haha.

If Brink released again, remastered but otherwise exactly the same, I’d play it. A lot.
Fight me.
Call of duty may be talked about bad here, but this is a small niche of gamers. It is hardly looked at as bad by the gaming landscape at large, it is still one of the most played games out there and the general gamer public likes it.
SD Gundam Battle Alliance.
I can’t resist playing Barbie Horse Adventures: Wild Horse Rescue. It’s so bad, it’s good!
Fortnite whenever a brand new map releases, not when they modify it, only all new. I like to see what they do and it holds my interest for about a month until they start adding all the craziness too it.
Sport games. Yeah they are the same each year, but they are simple and fun. I don’t see an issue with them as long as you don’t buy them at full price
Fallout 76
Been playing the Saints Row reboot as of late and i have been having fun with it.
Every Bethesda game, lmao, but especially the modern ones.
I’m a 2010s gamer at my heart, and am forever sucked into Fallout 4 and Skyrim in particular.
I even like starfield.
Alpha Protocol
It’s genuinely not a good game but Obsidian put so much love and effort Into it I just can’t help but love it.
Goat Simulator
People apparently hated NFS Heat, I find it good fun and keep coming back to it. It’s not perfect *at all*. But it’s fun.
Does The Sims count?
I always get funny looks from Gamers™️ when I say I like playing it, like I get it’s a casual game but it’s also a successful 20+ year franchise.
Even with the capitalist hell-scape business model the Sims 4 now runs as, the fact EA is even incarnate and that there is progressively less to do as the game has advanced, I still play regularly enough that I never uninstall it (also would be pain in the ass to reinstall all that content) and mod it all the time.
I love play call of duty games , but only singleplayer , if that count?
Far Cry 6.
I don’t think it’s that bad but it is repetitive. It’s one of the few FPS games where I can shut my brain off and have fun. Don’t have to worry about being competitive.
COD is also guilty pleasure for me as much as a reddit and gamers hate that game it’s popular for a reason
Not a terrible game but it gets put down for several reasons.
FFXV is my go-to when I want to listen to retro Final Fantasy music while driving around the beautiful landscape, hunting monsters, collecting weapons, diving into dungeons, fishing up some baddies, and camping for leisure.
Currently playing Maplestory, Diablo 4, and Pokemon Violet
^(help me)
Spiderman web of shadow . This game is meh but the gameplay is my favorite . Be able to chain someone from the ground then kick him in the air and finish it against a wall is so satisfying
Monopoly. I just love rolling dice and finding out which color I end up controlling. But if you try to put cash on free parking, you are a bad friend and will never be touched by the light of Heaven.
Destiny 2
Not sure if the general community at large generally sees it as a bad game, but I’ve certainly met a lot of people who were rubbed the wrong way by something Bungie did. I never got to play D1, but I’ve been around since D2 beta. I keep coming back to it simply because there’s nothing else like it, especially when it comes to gunplay and abilities. Surprisingly, the Sci-Fi Fantasy Looter Shooter MMO Lite genre doesn’t have a lot of competition lol.
Genshin Impact
Dude the deadliest warrior game (the first one on 360) was actually fucking hilarious and so fun. I loved it
Vanilla release of cyberpunk 2077 on ps4.
Lol, people in here have no idea what bad means.
Lots of not bad games in here. Cod isn’t bad at all, it’s just lazy and the same. But it’s popular for a reason.
Ghostwire:Tokyo. The game was bashed a bit but I enjoyed it.
