What’s the point of this? The water isn’t magic, the benefit of it is you can dissipate the heat in a larger radiator somewhere else in the case. You’re leaving it on the card, wouldn’t just having an equally large air cooler be a lighter, simpler solution?

So I guess I have to take out the 10gb fiber card, sound card for 7.1 and capture card…. and raid card… just so I can save 8fps in some new unoptimized games. Yeah….

I have the MSI 4090 Suprim liquid X and it has zero problems with staying cool. I don’t think I’ve seen it reach 70° even after playing games on max settings at 4k for multiple hours. This card just seems worse? Why smash the whole aio solution into the card instead of having it separate? It makes no sense when they already make a great water cooled card.

You plug it in, turn around to get your gpu support bracket, turn back to see its ripped the pcie connector off of the mother board and snapped the gpus pcb in half

So, it’s the worst of both worlds, hot air is still expelled into the case while it’ll cost an arm and a leg.
The whole point of an AIO is air is blown THROUGH the radiator. Most of the time, it’s used as an exhaust but can be used as intake which would get cooler temps for the part but expel hot air into the system. With this config, I’d guess some hot air would get stuck and not properly cool it on top of expelling air into the case. The only benefit I see with this is a lot higher thermal mass since it’s liquid.

Imagine a card with front to back airflow. Say 4 radiator sections with four pairs of fans alternating similar to a twin tower cpu cooler.

Only practical reason for liquid cooling a GPU is because you need low volume stable cooling. Not the best cooling, but cooling that can be relied on to not overheat or sound like a jet engine.
Use cases would be for locations where ambient room temperature is generally high. Or where you need stable temps in a small form factor of build.
