I ordered some Honeywell PTM7950 to replace the thermal pad in my laptop, and it came along with these white mushroom looking thing. What are these?

Remember when we went to the zoo and you saw those two chimps wrestling? Well they weren’t wrestling. Have a seat, son.

They are called Finger Cots, they are used a lot to protect your fingers while dealing with a lot of paper (counting money, sorting, etc) or protecting things from the grease on your fingers.

Whoops, I mailed my monster condoms for my magnum dong.

Those are the big ones…. right?

“Finger condoms”?! Is that not the normal size? Asking for a friend

  6. To add to everyone else’s comments they’re technically called ‘Finger Cots’ and are often found at semi conductor and high technology manufacturing firms like Intel for handling delicate electronics where finger oils may cause an issue. On a completely unrelated side note slipping them into a buddy’s condom stash can be hilarious. Apparently ones that size feel normal in the dark after a few beers but are very hard to get on

I have to order this size too it’s okay

  8. People call them finger condoms, but they’re called finger cots. Just wrap them on your fingers if you don’t doing something delicate. I use them when I have to clean a glass surface of some kind, or handling delicate little pieces like repairing a piece of electronic. They have medical uses as well, like if you had a cut on your finger and placed a band-aid over it, a finger cot is used to protect the band-aid from getting wet.

Condoms for small weiner. Or your finger.

  11. Ah good old finger condoms. Typically they’re for if you work in food service and you get a cut.

They are usually sold under the name ‘finger cots’. So search for that on Amazon or elsewhere if you need to buy some.

  13. Finger cots to handle thermal paste, they’re kinda like condoms for your fingers.

So you don’t contaminate the pad with your fingers and the other way around, they give you finger condoms. I recommend you put the pad in a fridge before even thinking about peeling the film. The pad firms up when cold and “melts” when warm. And no, it’s not bad for your PC if you put the pad in the fridge for 1/2h or 1h.

Finger cots, like they sent you a glove but just 2 fingers worth.
