What are you converting to on the AV box?
Just asking since the TV has SCART it likely supports analog RGB and that will give you much better picture quality than composite or s-video.
It is one of the few flex Europeans have over North Americans TV wise. 80s and 90s European TVs supported a higher quality picture input out of the box compared to anything commonly available in the US before component was introduced.
