Since there is a lot of talk about Thermal-Grizzly/Der8auer’s new heatspreader having issues, I thought I would post some results of my experience. I honestly didn’t expect any improvements, but it seems it has a very minor improvement over RockItCool’s IHS. The main improvement over the rockitcool IHS is that I was using the washer mod before and I think it was causing ram instability due to reduced cpu mounting pressure (to prevent IHS bending). I’m hoping the TG heatspreader will provide the propper force to gain stability. Also its nickel plated. I also just really like Der8auer’s products + the TG-brand 😉
