To be fair most popular multiplayer FPS games have horrible footstep audio. I don’t get how audio has gotten progressively worse over time with online gaming.

If you have a good headset you can hear where the footsteps are. No need dolby.

Having built a 20 grand hometheater system (not counting the specialized sound space renovation) after for my old dad, let me tell you Dolby atmos was not good, not good at all. DTS still rules, 10 times better even. I don’t know who came up with the thing, it’s too underwhelming.
