Right now you should focus on a 7600x because it is on AM5 as it and a 13600kf are neck in neck in games.
You should not buy a 13600kf right now since intel is a dead platform.
I would prefer it because I own it right now, but not in your case.
I had to correct my statement as people assumed I was saying the 13600kf was the right choice.

7800X3D is the way to go.
It is a great value.

I am also debatting on a new build. On a 12400 and want to look towards a update
13th gen or Current Zens or the new Intel or Amd cpus this year -_-
7600 is also just $185. You don’t lose much in gaming performance and there is an upgrade pass.
Multicore tasks 13600KF wins hands down.
Got me a 14500 for 200 bucks on ebay a few weeks ago. An upgrade even from my 12700k.
If you have a microcenter near you they have been running a deal on the 7800X3D. Got it for just under $200 a few weeks ago
