Question: Prosperity points

The basic question is, when your buying items from the store. ie the Arabic or Asain items. There are the normal points given, and also the tag yellow or green depending on the style. That has numbers also. I originally thought I was getting extra points for prosperity but it turns out I am not. So what are these points and am I doing something wrong on why I am not getting points if I am suppose to?
