What will you be doing on the left side of your desk?

It definitely has potential, but this looks pretty bare bones to me. Right now the only function of that pegboard is to block your view of and any light from outside. I’d trash that if it had no use for me. That desk in general just seems kinda wrong for the space, but if you can actually make use of the shelves it would make more sense.

With so much space, and as you said windows to the left, I would have increased the monitor space on the left side, and left your “unknown” space to the forward space
That way you’re facing the windows, better monitor setup, better view, and less wasted workspace that you’re not sure about yet.
But I suppose if you’re not really using the monitors, it might work out better for you as is.
