So I’ve always been fascinated by Alcatraz but always wondered why the roof access wasn’t there in real life like there is on zombies and rebirth but I’ve just seen pictures off the roof with what looks like what the roof access would be. So basically does anyone know if the roof access near the water tower is real and if the one near wardens office lighthouse side is also real originally. Thankyou. Best pictures I could find showing the roof access and without roof access. Sorry if I’m making no sense 😂

It seems they were removed at some point. I’ve found other images and they also have the roof access in older photos yet they are absent in newer ones
