    Saw the post earlier, and out of curiosity checked Facebook Marketplace. Lots of offices near me are doing closeouts. Found this old Mirra (1st Gen) for $7. The Gas Cylinder is broke, but that is a pretty cheap fix. Has some fraying, the back fabric is felting (that is why it looks whiter) and some small rips in the fabric, but is still extremely comfortable. Best $7 I ever spent.

    You can get this reconditioned I think for 7 years might want to look at manufacture date.

    Put some duct tape on that rip and under the seat also. Or it will spread. Personal experience.

    There are companies that professionally refinish these herms- it will add considerable cost to what you’ve already spent but it’ll feel like a new chair afterwards. But replace the gas can yourself.

    7$ is a really good deal. I usually wouldn’t recommend buying new HM chairs, unless you don’t care about money, as there are a lot of used ones available. This post is extreme, but you can get the Aeron usually for around 500€ in perfect condition. Embody is more rare and a bit more expensive, but there are some amazing offers if you check often enough.
