Buying a Mac is just like buying any other slightly above mid-tier PC, but you’re paying at least 30-40% extra for a fucking brand sticker and some mild, superficial convenience… that becomes inconvenience as soon as something breaks.

Old macs were relatively easy to repair/upgrade. Repairing macs could be really easy, but Apple would rather sell you a new one than let you repair your current one.

There are places where buying a pc is like repairing a Mac. I assume those server racks and supercomputers are expensive to fix under a contract.

I hate how a major argument for people buying a Mac is so they could text people while on their laptop. Like I get it it’s like IMing people but is it any different than on your phone? Your phone is just within arms reach if you’re going to have your laptop

I really hate to be that guy, but most PCs are just as unrepairable as your average Mac. We are just overly sensitive to the concept because most of us in this sub have desktop PCs.
