My monitor popped in the corner and it started burning. I didn’t even do anything. What should I do with the monitor since it’s clearly a fire hazard. I bought the monitor off Facebook

did you cat bite the corner like some other post yesterday?

Find a place that accepts electronics recycling. That’s it. Probably keep it outside for a bit just in case it’s still smoldering.

Game until it starts visibly catching on fire then you can consider second hand market

Someone casting a binding spell in the background?

  16. Monitor popped then started burning

    choose an option:

    1. Unplug it and take measurements for potential fire hazard.
    2. Record it and upload it to Reddit, is not like it will burst into flames

Is it on fire or is that just the backlight? In any case, the liquid crystals are fucked beyond repair. Maybe you could try to fix it by swapping the panel with one from  a broken monitor of the same model.

It was already dead when it popped, what’s wrong with filming as this is a rare occurrence?

  21. IPanicKnife

Go ahead and turn the monitor off and unplug it, one time for the homies

  22. TheMadOneGame

    Step one: Unplug it.

    Step two: ready fire extinguisher.

Step three: Grab from form the other side and take it outside away from anything flammable

Step four: Spray it with water, lots of water.

RMA that sucker, they’re gonna WANT the monitor to do a root cause failure analysis to figure out WHAT went wrong exactly.
