Probably their anti cheat which is pretty much a virus, but for the greater good

there’s a separate button to uninstall vanguard if you right click it on the quick access bar, but you might have already broke it by attempting to uninstall it in some other way so do the opposite. Reinstall everything and do it the proper way

If you installed riot games using Xbox app, you need to exit Xbox app before uninstalling riot shit

Go through control panel, not settings

  5. Might be worth grabbing the portable version of Revo Uninstaller (it’s free) and seeing if it can do anything with it.

Try using Revo Uninstaller. It’s pretty good at rooting out files and registry entries

I suggest installing space sniffer, it’s a really neat program that allows you to see and delete whatever you want, not caring whether the programs permit it or not.

Why remove if u gonna be back in a week ?

  9. Go to the folder and see if it is even still installed. If you removed it outside of the app manager, it might not even be there anymore, and this could just be an artifact.

Use WizTree, it is a must have tool.
It will scan and show you large chunks of storage used in boxes, which you can use to identify the problem

    I had a program I couldn’t get to uninstall until I used this: MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta from Microsoft’s website.

  12. This measurement are unreliable. Better not put much fate into them. I have see alot weird situation eherr a program was reported to be over 1tb, but the disk was small.

  13. there are actual files in Program files, program data and appdata in 2 locations for this fucking vermin of a program. It took a good 30 mins of searching to find it, there is one which is just called something~gameservices.exe and thats part of it too.

  14. I’d use Revo Uninstaller. Used it to kinda “debloat” the windows crap

“Guys, I downloaded a virus and now it won’t go away. Where did I go wrong?”

Revo Uninstaller. The free version is great and all you really need.

Have you tried just deleting the stuff?

I’m so grateful I switched to Linux and don’t have to deal with this stuff

I try to uninstall League for almost 10 years now, somehow I can’t get rid of it, it returns every time.

Even if you deleted this file, Riot games are like the flu, returning every season…

When this happens to me I simply delete the folder in Program Files, then do a Windows Search (as crap as it is) to remove any leftover shortcuts and stuff.

And if I’m feeling a bit stubborn I’ll also search the registry and delete more if I’m *sure* it’s related.

Then I may use CCleaner to clean up the registry and remove any other parts of the registry that are related but no longer referenced.
