Dare I say it but thats a relief that it wont be a required always online connection to the servers to check things over with
People are rightfully suspicious of Ubi after they not only canned The Crew’s servers, but also stripped people off their licenses so they have no chance of accessing it anymore.
Oh well, someone will find a way some day.
The way Ubisoft and AAA devs have been lately, I have full confidence Ubisoft will find another way to blow it

This still tell me we Gona have a day 1 patch make game actually playable even if bought a physical copy cd version will not be able play the game.
It doesn’t make it any better lol. If I purchased it in the store and live in Buttfucknowhere without the internet, I can’t play. I know it’s exaggerated but, I paid for the game, I have the disc with the game in my hand but I can’t play. It’s ridiculous.

This means that if their servers are shut down or go offline for whatever reason, you, the consumer, are left with nothing in the end.
Without this you’d be then owning one of their games, and not renting it, what was the actual plan all along.

The game will not require constant internet connection. The launcher, however, will. Just monthly. Or else we’ll delete your account. And you can’t launch a game without launcher.

Well with that the idea of purchasing it at a later point enters my mind. To expensive right now though. I will probably wait for a sale. I also pre-ordered stalker 2 which releases around the same time

Ubi is a bit ahead of the curve on that one, but I expect that this is going to be the responsible take on brands and corps going forwards.
That’s good, I’m happy to pay £114.99 for the Ultimate Edition now so I get early access to play in a soulless, bloat filled world with wild historical inaccuracies and microtransactions. I can’t wait.

I am not a fan of the always online (it is one of the reasons games vanish and i like to keep playing my old favourites) but i like it that they make such a big warning. maybe the sales are lower because of that and they rethink their always online practices.
But the game has microtransactions selling an in-game currency. I will only consider this a truly offline game if I can edit the value of that currency and add as much as I want, if not the game is limited/slowed down progress on purpose to sell those microshits.
