I mean, now that they switched from up to 24Pin to 12VHP plugs they have enough room for at least one generation to get more power with simply more pins (like 24 Pin 12VHP)

It’s similar to how those printer manufactures lock down their ink cartridges. Everyone will need their credit card on file to power their graphics card.

Someone reported this post for self harm.
You are disgusting, and pathetic…

Nah they would go with a proprietary one, where’s the fun if your connector is a battle tested design that can’t catch fire.

Better than current 12VHPWR PCI-E one.

Correct me if I’m stupid, but that’s gonna be AC and not DC power isn’t it?
I’ve seen this on here, then on instagram, and now back on here, within a span of like 3 days.

The insane power requirements of the 4090 and 3090ti are what will always keep me away from them. My 6900xt topping out at 375 watts is MORE than enough as is.
Who_Knows_Why_000
Honestly, they are so massive, we are attaching our PC to them, not the other way around.
Feels like we should just integrate the mobo into the gpu and attach everything to it.

For real

It’s funny, but electrically speaking, it would cause a dead short if connected to the motherboard.

RTX 6000 series would probably require Iron Man’s arc reactor to power them.

At least now the connector won’t melt

Funny how these “jokes” make a comeback every generation

I seriously won’t be surprised the day we start seeing this port on the back of video cards next to the display port.

I only want gpu power connectors that melt the pins.
Too reliable. Maybe replace the metal bits with gasoline?

I will take this over the 12pin connector anyday💯

It wouldn’t surprise me if the next NEC update is going to require all desktop computers to be on a dedicated 20 amp GFCI circuit just to deal with the graphics cards….

This is a dumb meme and a crappy repost.

Should be a 3 phase bayonet connector

Just slap a 14-50 plug outlet on there and call it good 😊

I think we’re gonna see some of the improvements they’ve made with the Blackwell’s power consumption in the 50 series.
YAy take my money nvidia 😀
