I believe the reset it does will fix most peoples most common problems. So yeah I think it works. Anyone who knows better won’t use it, and fix it themselves.

DangerouslyHarmless
When I was at uni I needed to have a very specific set of IPv4 settings to connect to the uni internet and when I got back home it was always quicker to run the troubleshooter than to navigate five menus deep to revert the setting
one time it actually solved one of my problems, my headphone’s microphone wasnt working on my computer, i ran the audio input diagnostic and it instantly fixed the issue! i was trying to find a solution for like 2 weeks but all i had to do was run that!

Same exact amount of effort it puts in when you try to install a driver for an old laptop part thru the device manager. “The best drivers are already installed!” When it still isn’t installed.

reset network adapter. that is the only thing it has ever done to solve problems
Jackpkmn
I’ve found it’s the quickest way to get to fully reset the network adapter which is needed sometimes. Easier than rebooting the whole computer.
clever_wolf77
Nono it did fix one problem for me. I can’t remember which but I managed to mess up some network setting and it actually fixed it. I remember thinking “wow this actually did something for once”
