I’m really glad people are waking up to how scummy Asus is. Consumers need to vote with their wallet and force Asus to either adopt better customer service or leave the PC market

13 years ago i sent asus my laptop after the HDD/SSD hybrid was faulty to get it replaced. they said they found water damage in the touchpad, tore it out, asked me for money, and when i didnt want to pay they sent it back torn to shit and broken. i cant believe they’re still doing this.

Oh look! Another corporation that hates their customers!

Didn’t someone just post their 4090 that they paid like $2000 for and Asus wanted to charge like $2500 for repair?

At this point Steve/gamer nexus should just start a hardware company and save us from these scummy companies and save us gamers like the tech Jesus we all believe him to be

This subject has been a frequent flyer in this sub for a while now. Asus should’ve felt the hitman creeping up behind them.

I’m glad people like Louis Rossman are pushing for right to repair laws and anti-“Void if removed” sticker punishments for companies. These sticker rules are already bullshit and in violation, but no one stops or fines companies for them. It’s about time these companies get slapped with some hefty fines for the years of anti-consumer shit they’ve been doing

Asus has been on my do not buy list for years now. Nice to know that they can stay there.

I will not consider and purchase another Asus laptop after Asus refused to fix my Asus N80Vn laptop (faulty GeForce module, 2009). I have purchased a Dell XPS laptop (2010), Samsung laptop (2013), Microsoft Surface Pro (2016, 2018), Framework Laptop 13 AMD (2023) and Dell Precision laptop (2023, work).

I’m super thrilled to see this video after being burned on ASUS equipment totaling over 4000 USD in less than a year by ASUS RMA center

Good thing I didn’t buy Asus for my recent laptop. But I know almost all of them just act the same.

I have an Asus mobo and I hate its armoury crate bloatware. Definitely never buying their products again

Wow I’ve been exclusively buying Asus motherboards for decade and this video is the first that actually makes me consider the other brand for my next build.

Today we observe another common ASUS L, I’m starting to the the U is silent in their name.

At this point, which brands have NOT had any major controversies regarding customer support or anything similar?

Not trying to defend Asus, but I live in Asia and their warranty seems to be much better here. Back in 2021 or 2022 I sent in a laptop that suddenly stopped turning on which had physical damage that I caused on the hinge and keyboard and they just repaired everything in a week. Friends and family have similar good experiences with their Asus products. Not sure if Asus handles the rma process here or some other authorised third party. Interesting to see how terrible it is in North America.

In just over a decade asus went from my only choice, to not with a gun to my head. It’s almost sad.
