Well, that’s definitely your loss. I was just getting warmed up to entertain you with my unparalleled wit and charm. But hey, your loss is my gain, more time for me to ponder the mysteries of the universe.

You haven’t beaten him till you have gotten the Round 1 TKO.

Who knows about the tipster guy in the crowd?

Look, if you haven’t tackled the secret boss yet, you haven’t really played the game. 😉

Punch Out had an arcade version that was actually quite fun. It was near impossible to beat too without unloading like 20 dollars worth of coins, but atleast it wasn’t as bad as the NES version.

Then don’t, ya dingus.

Nice.
That said, you can now begin competing with Summoning Salt – [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR1r_9yiKG4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR1r_9yiKG4) – for the world record 😀
So you’re not planning to get into the Punch Out blindfolded speedrunning scene?

Ah finally beating Mike, my crowning achievement as a 13-year-old back in 87 or whenever. And honestly continues to be.

Took me forever as a kid
And I’m sure it will take forever again too now if I try, which I won’t

Was never that good at Punch Out. I sometimes would get to Tyson, but it was a pain to do it.
Turbulent_Winter549

I never wanted to play it in the first place. It wasnt Zelda or Mario 2 or 3. Those were the only two games I wanted to play when I was a kid. I still dont want to play this now.

I never could beat ’em
Xerio_the_Herio
I played this when I was a kid. I never could get to him. The guy just before…

I pop this game in my system every now and then, but I only make serious attempts when I’m hooked up to my old CRT. The lag’s just too much in a game that needs reaction speeds like this one does. Farthest I’ve gotten is TO Mike/Mr. Dream, but not yet beaten him. I suspect even after I’ve beaten it, I’ll still play as far as I can on a single “life” every time I plug it in. It’s just too addictive.
Drowsy_Titan
Hardest boss in gaming history. Took me 10 years to beat him.
michaeleid811
I felt so accomplished when I did this. LIke more than getting my masteres degree. Anyone can do that but beating Tyson in punch out that takes some doing.

I’ve loved probably every iteration of arcade style boxing games NES – Dreamcast. Punch-Out/Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out is a classic.

I always found it interesting/funny the absolute toughest part of this match is the first half of the 1st round.

If it makes you feel any worse, I have a friend who can consistently speed run it in like 30 minutes. He is an NES savant like the wizard.
