I want to know, why do people care? If you buy FFXIV on Steam you need the launcher and account with square Enix and many other games require the same, but why is it a problem with Sony?
I will not give Sony a single cent until the remove this shit.

I’m simply not gonna link my PC Steam account info to PSN considering Sony has had so many security breaches and personal data leaks over the years.
If this is their stance, then it will be a skip for me unfortunately. They should pay for better data security first and prove they are serious with keeping peoples info safe.

Ghost of Tsushima is a single-player game first and foremost, with a side multiplayer mode.
It seems a little strange for GMG to remove the entire game from those regions instead of just putting a disclaimer for them that they won’t be able to access the multiplayer portion.

If there is a PSN account needed it probably wont be a game thats on family share on steam. My daughter wanted to play this as well. she may need to just use my computer for this one…
This was to be expected. Helldivers 2 set a precedent for Sony to be clear with this moving forward. I have no issue with this at all as long as they are up front about it.
I got platinum on that game and totally forgot there even was a multiplayer.

I never had intention of playing the multiplayer so I’m good. Otherwise I’d wait for a 7 seas version.

So what I’m getting from this whole thing with Sony is that while I’m living somewhere where they won’t make PSN accessible, I should just keep playing Sony games on a PS5 so I don’t have to worry about sudden multiplayer games getting removed from my store.

“Well I’m not buying / pirating” K enjoy the game, Sony is only releasing PC ports to add further profits, they’ll continue to make solid games for their consoles just like Nintendo. PC gaming doesn’t need Sony and vice versa.

It’s not a typical multiplayer mode. It’s all PvE cooperative. (though I guess they did add one mode where you compete with another team). It’s worth giving it a shot. It’s a loot game with randomized loot specs.

The multiplayer is surprisingly really good. But the base game still blows it out the water.
Who cares about the PSN crap I don’t understand the outrage make an email that exists purely for gaming stuff make an account with a dumb password and use it for games literally who cares it is no big deal at all.
People with both Playstation and PC would not mind. Having said that, this requirement sucks but not a deal breaker. GoT’s single player campaign is something else and first time PC players are in for a treat.

And you can’t play EA games without an EA account. Or Ubisoft games without an Ubi account. Or Valve games without a steam account.

Seems nobody has said this yet, so I will. The multi-player part has a three part raid. Enough said. Very challenging raid too. All players need to pull their weight.
Big fan of having a PSN for Sony games on PV as a big trophy hunter. I just wish it wasn’t shoved down people’s throats in a predatory way.
I think everyone is cool with this when you’re told very clearly ahead of time and it’s not just added after the fact.
