I had to triple check this to make sure I was seeing words the right way. MFer really said it.

Well, isn’t that a plot twist! Microsoft sure knows how to keep things interesting in the gaming world.

Then why in blazes did they close down the studio in the first place?

The only thing that makes sense here is the Xbox side didnt want these closures to happen but they were forced to do it, otherwise what the hell is going on

  4. “Games like that one, but not that one specifically.”

I assume in context, what they mean by this is cheaper and more quickly produced games.

Phil Spencer must be running out of “We apologize that (Xbox game here) didn’t live up to expectations” prompts at this point

We need games like Hi Fi Rush.

But more like Call of Duty

Didn’t a good chunk of the staff at Tango Gameworks leave to make a different company? Like what were they actively working on without Shinji?

For anyone seeing the irony, frequently people lower in the food chain are aware of what shouldn’t be cut to succeed, but someone in the chain had self serving ulterior motives

Phil Spencer is a con man. He’s a good PR guy and that’s it.

Microsoft – why can’t I find a guy like this ugh

    Hi-Fi Rush – hey

    Microsoft – no

It honestly sounds like Microsoft Shareholders are making the decisions now and not Phil Spencer.

You can want great games like Hi-Fi Rush but with different studios. I do wonder how many of the Tango Gameworks employees were able to be reassigned to ZeniMax Asia K.K.

A little bit ago Shinji Mikami said that Tango Gameworks was not the name of a company but the name of a department ([source](https://automaton-media.com/en/news/resident-evil-director-shinji-mikami-explains-why-he-left-tango-gameworks-and-founded-kamuy/)). So parts could live on just not as a distinct unit from their parent. Like when Blizzard shuttered Blizzard North and absorbed them into the main company.

  14. I tried Hi-Fi and didn’t really enjoy it that much.
