Found a stick of RAM. Seller say it’s 128GB DDR5

  1. I can count it’s containing memories with my eyeballs

    Fake!

    Everyone knows that’s a 40″ 4K monitor, not a RAM stick.

It looked like an average Dendy cartridge at first lmao

That doesn’t look like any ddr5 I’ve ever seen. Can’t even see any chips on it either. Don’t buy it

Edit: I appear to have missed the meme flair. To be fair, there’s been a lot of posts like this recently that haven’t been memes

You see that black blob? That’s where the 128GB is. It’s an efficient design.

  6. The 128GB is the friends we made along the way

How do you even install the stick? 💀

That’s the PCB for a 1980’s TV remote.

Genuinely I haven’t seen what ddr5 ram looks like so I legit thought that could’ve been real (until looking through the comments)

That is obviously a 48GB stick. The seller is clearly trying to rip you off only offering a 1/3 of the advertised hard drive.

It’s not RAM, it’s not Random Access MEMORIES with 1000 in 1 games

  12. Under the blob is an encapsulated controller with, probably, less than 1 kB RAM. If it even has any RAM.

I first thought it was a TV remote, but there’s nowhere for the buttons (patches which operate as a switch, with interlocked traces completing the circuit via the conductive base of the button) and just contact patches.

The PCB hasn’t been assmebled into the device it’s meant to be in, you can see where the power for the IC (top left) goes in, and where a capacitor should be mounted to buffer the rails. The grey patches are for wires to be soldered to, coming from or going to whatever this PCB is interfacing between.

BOTTOM LINE: If they can’t give you a make/model that you can google and see it looking exactly the same, then their word is worthless because wtf is this?

This is actually the motherboard of a smart TV

The “DDR” in the name means its from germany before the fall of the berlin wall. The “5” means high-five for communism.
