Been waiting for years for Ghost of Tsushima. Didn’t know about the PSN thing until the Helldivers fiasco. Now, on the cusp of something I’ve wanted for so long, I’m having second thoughts.
Gamers are generally sick of all the accounts, the logins, the online always shit…. can these companies please just practice a little good will and make things a little easier?

This is actually one of the biggest moments for gamers out there. Everyone, and I mean **everyone**, is going to watch how this unfolds.
If player numbers tank, and stay tanked, Sony executives will start being offered up like sacrificial lambs. Scapegoats will be created.
However, and I think what Sony is ***counting on***, is that player posturing will wane in a week or so, numbers will return to where they were or within acceptable loss numbers, and business as usual will continue rolling.
For once, I’d like to see players speak with their time and their wallets… but I also just expect weak followthrough.

I’m not trying to defend this, but it seemed inevitable to me. Microsoft does it for their games, and everyone else as well.
The whole Helldivers 2 thing going from optional to required is a shitty thing for them to do though, for sure. Not to mention that some regions can’t even play any longer since they don’t have PSN account creation there.
