There are multiple ways to run “the devil” that I haven’t done yet. I haven’t done the star yet either. I’m pretty sure that don’t fear the reaper is the best outcome for everyone involved, specifically staying with cannon and how V is basically this transcendental character.
Also, it seems like there are multiple ways of finishing each of these endings.
And you also forgot the “easy way out” ending. Which I did on accident and then immediately retired that character, to respect her EOL wishes. She was a badass.😢

I LOVE (Don’t Fear) The Reaper. I don’t know how many times I have played that ending, but many many times. My least favourite is the Devil, because you basically lose everything, nothing changed.

But with all Mr Blue Eyes theories on Don’t Fear the Reaper seems a bit better because V may actually survive without letting anyone they care about die.

The Star (ft Judy) is one of my favorite for being the closest thing to a happy ending.
Judy and V living out the rest of V’s days with the nomad pack, happy together in a family that cares. V’s days are numbered, but she helped so many, and got Judy a great crowd that perhaps she’ll come to love as as a second family.
The Reaper is fun as fuck, and great comeupins for Arasaka. Maybe it’s cyberpsychosis that fuels V to just *plow* through a herd of power house’s and finally finish Smasher. But it’s very satisfying, and feels like you and Johnny are in this together.
I have not seen the many of the PL endings, and saving them for other playthroughs.

Kerry and River should be in the Sun/DFTR ending slide. They’re the only ones who stay with V in NC.

My fave ending has to be The Sun. It was the first one I got, and has a special place in my heart.
In my first playthrough, I played a V who was slipping into Johnny’s behaviours – not taking the meds that held back the neuro-degeneration, smoking cigarettes and, eventually, donning Johnny’s full attire. She was Johnny in all but name by the end.
I also went with the ending where V is left behind with Alt – and it was her final line, asking Johnny not to forget her, that made this ending a true gem. It solidified itself as one of my fave ever game endings. Hearing the heartbreak too from V’s friends in the credits was the finishing blow that destroyed me.

I let Johnny have my body, I hated relic malfunctions and seemed like a bad and wasteful way to go. My first play through I mistakenly trusted arasaka and didn’t even try to fight my way off the ship.

I love the star, mostly because I usually romance Panam, than dont fear the reaper because how absolutely badass is to attack saka tower head on no help, than the sun, than the devil, because honestly I was truly depressed after I did it and I only did it for achievement. I havent tried tower yet, but from what I heard I gues it would be between sun and devil or at the same as devil.

Don’t fear the reaper – > The Sun is the most fitting to the themes of V’s whole journey in my opinion. With a lot of callbacks to the beginning, showing us how meaningless what we earned was and how important what we lost still is.
It’s bitter, painful and coherent while also giving the last strand of hope with the last gig, although, once again, for a more than dubious client who will no doubt get what he wants out of us before we get what we need.
The Star is soothing and the happiest we can get but still. The Sun just… makes sense.
Same with the Tower btw.

I loved the main story, the lengthy side quests and the one-off wacky side quests. Peoples loyalty missions were great and the gigs were all a lot of fun. I need another playthrough ASAP.
