Back in 2020 I bought this game to play it on PS4. I thought that it would be Diablo like playing style. However, I got bored. I only played it like 5 to 8 hours and even though I love the theme and the ambience I could not play it any longer. I read that the game isn't bad and it is pretty funny once you level up. Should I give it a second try?

im giving it a second go as well cause they unlocked all the seasons so you can pick whichever one you want.

The game isn’t bad and if you like the unniverse it may be worth your while! The game does indeed evolve with more complex skills and equipment, which make the experience more appealing than the first few hours. There have also been updates that have improved the game experience since then.

As an arpg it’s mid. But it’s a fun Warhammer game for sure.

I like it. Not very demanding or story rich, but it’s quite satisfying to cleave through hordes of enemies after a stressful day.

I remember looking up builds online soon after release, and the only one I could find was a japanese website, lol. Too much going on with the skill trees for me to play without a guide.

I already bought Chaosbane back in the day, and now the only times I see this one on sale is in a bundle with Chaosbane, and I don’t want to buy Chaosbane again just to get this one, even if it’s just for pocket change.

That’s a game I found during lockdown and quite enjoyed. It’s a mix of WH40K universe with Diablo style gameplay. The main story had some large maps to explore, while exploring outside of that doing skirmishes on the many different planets provided and endless supply of semi-random maps stitched together from preset game tiles.

I think a year or two after launch they did a big 2.0 overhaul of some of the game mechanics. I only played after this point, so not sure if you were before or after that, but could be worth another go to see if you like how it is now.

The devs also seem to have stuck by it, continuing to provide updates, new seasons and even some additional DLC classes since I last played. Given the history of Games Workshop licenced games, ongoing support is something of a rarity.
