At CostCo
Genuine question would this be a good buy?
I have a small idea about its specs, but unsure about its pricing
I would be using this for light school work, and light single player games (Minecraft mainly lol)

Very solid for $800, take it. A few weeks ago someone got the Costco display model with these specs for $500, but that’s like unheard of.

$800 for an i5 and a 4060 before taxes doesn’t seem good to me at all but I don’t scour prices of prebuilts much.

light games light school work? for 800? seems good if you’re not inclined to build your own. and you can always upgrade bits later.

  4. That 200 off is basically the prebuilt tax, so it is just about or maybe even bit cheaper than if you built it yourself.

It’a a 4060 though… it might seem tempting but it’s really not worth that purchase

    Some morons in this topic.

If it’s not a 4090 it’s nothing worth buying right?

Building this PC for the price would be difficult and he gets it all together and if anything is wrong, he can return and not deal with building error.

It’s a good deal, especially for someone who doesn’t/never has had a PC. Not everything has to be able to run max settings across the board.

Yea do it. It’s a pretty good deal. CostCo also has very strong return policies if stuff is broken. Just go for it…

For the price that’s pretty good honestly. I have a similar rig but with a i5-13600 and more memory and it will run pretty much any game on the market pretty well. At the very least I’d expect you could get 5 years out of it before you’d be concerned about having to play games on minimum settings.

Display models might have viruses.. just saying… I used to be an idiot in my younger years and display models were juicy targets

Looks like a good offer to me, but why does it say “Display only”?

The irrational rage against the 4060 in this sub is getting hilarious.

Thats a steal. I’d sell the 4060 and upgrade to a card with 12gb+ VRAM personally.

I would say it’s a fine price. In CAD a new 4060 is 400$. Cpu is available for 160-180$
2 TB nvme storage is at least 200$ no matter what brand. And you get the rest of the PC for free pretty much. Again, in CAD.

Conversion rates will maybe influence your decision a bit more but I think it would still work out as a good buy

Edit: and I’m pretty sure it would play the shit out of Minecraft lol
