I’m a stay at home dad and I spent the last few years learning programming and art so I could make an old school RPG of my own.

A few years ago after having kids I volunteered to be a stay at home dad so my wife could continue her career.

During that time I wanted to at least keep working on something. I've always loved RPGs but
I felt like something was missing from modern ones that games I grew up playing had. These big open worlds where you had minimum railroading and maximum freedom, challenging difficulty and no gimmicks. I wanted to recreate that same style of hand crafted RPG from the past but with some modern upgrades.

So I started studying programming and art in between looking after the kids. Eventually things started to click and last year I officially started developing my current game.

I don't know how many people here are into old school pixelart RPGs but here's my steam page if you're interested.

Looks great, I really like how you designed the map. The painting look brings a lot of atmosphere to it. How big is the world? Is there more than what we can se on page two?

Did you make this in between looking after kids full time?

The art is beyond awesome! However, the jrpg combat which in general translates as copypasta grafted upon a game which is otherwise clearly inspired by western rpgs, where we have the tradition of original combat approach per each game… oh man… :/

What is the name of this game ? Is it on steam ? And are there gameplay previews ?
