  1. 4 or 76 if you just want to jump in. 3 and New Vegas needs a little bit of modding so you can play on modern PCs since these two games are ancient. If you're willing to learn how to install mods, I'd go the 3/NV route.

  2. i’m having a surprisingly good time with Fallout 76. it’s not my first, but it’s been a fun way to casually return to the series after so long without playing one

  3. Started with 4 when its got released but its so borin that ive put it down and never play it ever again.

However, i just picked up New Vegas couple of weeks ago and im about to finish Fallout 1 and starts my journey on the 2nd one, what a frickin ride.

New Vegas is prolly one of, if not, the best game ive ever played….no mods too.

  4. It was probably a concession made to include all the games for this video, but I'd say Fallout 4 takes the cake for exploration too over Fallout 3. IMO, if you're the kind of person that loved STALKER and exploring the Zone then I'd highly suggest Fallout 4 and playing on the survival difficulty mode. I loved the Capital Wasteland, but it's definitely dated nowadays. If you want you can treat it as a sister piece to New Vegas and play them with the Tale of Two Wastelands mod so you can play New Vegas then can play Fallout 3 with the updates of New Vegas.

Also on New Vegas I highly recommend following the initial section of the Viva New Vegas modding guide. It adds various bug fixes and utilities to make New Vegas run better overall. Takes maybe 30 minutes to get through (maybe longer if you're completely new to modding a Bethesda game).

  5. The nice thing about the series is that, while there are call backs to earlier games, each game has a self contained story that lets you skip around as you will. The only advice I'd give for the 3D games is save Fallout New Vegas for last. Fallout 3 and 4 are excellent games in their own right but you might be disappointed if you play them after the high water mark that is New Vegas.

  6. Honestly it doesn’t matter. Each game has their own little story that is mostly separate from the others. If you’re interested in lore and the different characters and factions and want to learn more you can look it up.

  7. The only problem I have with new Vegas is that it becomes a walking simulator between points of interest like especially when you start a new game. There’s not that many events that happen when jogging to the next area. But other than that it’s probably the best out of all the fallout games

  8. W takes! I started with 3 last year and the thing I remember most is the exploring, it's why I preferred it over New Vegas until NV's plot really got going.

  9. Literally none of them. They're fake, made using computer graphics. None of them are real. Come on, sheeple, WAKE UP!

  10. Im playing 4. I am a massive Elder Scrolls fan so i was always turned off ny Fallout. Tbs, i am absolutely hooked, ive been playing non stop since the update

  11. If you want to understand all the references, backstory, and the reason for the game's existence, the first Fallout game is the way to go. Yes, it's nearly 30 years old at this point (and it was built to run on computers that are no longer being made) its still available on Steam and you can speed run it in an hour and a half if you skip most of the dialogue, cut scenes and combat.

  12. I would say fallout three might be the best place to start because the introduction really does introduce the world. BETHESDA doesn’t get enough credit for the way they create big moments. Just go into it knowing that there are better games in the series. But if you have trouble getting a hold of fallout three on a system you can play, go for fallout four. Of course the RPG elements are massively dumped down but as a first taste I think it’s probably the best place to start., Your second game should probably be new Vegas

  13. The only thing that makes 4 a bit rough for newbies is the whole When Freedom Calls. What where they thinking making you fight a Deathclaw that early?

  14. It took me 5 years after it came out to play Bioshock, after it was recommended by a co-worker. I mainly play FPS and story based games, but I never got into Fallout. I mainly wasn't interested in it's post apocalypse setting.

  15. Start with any game that did not involve Todd Howard, and eventually realize just how much awkward jank Todd brings to his projects.

  16. fallout 3 was my favourite to playthrough but i feel no need to replay even thou i have many times. the story was amazing and environment is unmatched but doesnt branch off like new vegas does. new Vegas i can play over and over again to this day but playing 3 for the first time was unforgettable. 4 i feel they tried WAY to hard to make the gameplay good that they forgot what makes fallout, well fallout. kinda more looter shooter imo but still good! i can see why people like 4 im just a story driven lore kinda guy i guess and contemplate my decisions like they matter lol. imo if you play on pc look up tale of two wastelands if you havent played 3 or nv. best way to play imo unless you want the raw old school fallout 3

  17. Three or New Vegas. If atmosphere and open world exploration are your jam, play three

If witty writing and creative ways to complete quests is your jam, play New Vegas

Once you finish whichever one you picked, play the other one

Then do whatever, those are really the only two games in the franchise that I can truly say I love.

  18. Anything but fallout 4 because the gameplay is much better but the charm is much better in the other games so its hard to hop on to new vegas where you gotta level up skills while in 4 its all just perks
