In this video from buildzoid, the voltage rises to over 1.6 v while running a single core cinebench run.

I was wondering how/why a higher voltage for a single core run could potentially be less problematic.

The argument is always that less amps are put threw the CPU, but aren't those amps only pushed threw that single core? Shouldn't this be just as bad? How does this work?

Just trying to learn, couldn't find anything with a quick search.

  1. It’s gotta be bad. He hit 100C on one core IIRC. That’s insanely high current in one core.

    I’ve been telling people to avoid running these new baseline profiles and just set power limits first too see if that works. The Gigabyte profile raises ACLL to 1.7 which is insane for an i9.

    Asus is a bit better, but if I set SVID Behavior to Intel Failsafe, I get 1.63v in bios on my 14900ks. No way that’s a good idea IMO.

    Buildzoid offered alternate methods to stabilize the CPUs. People should listen to him.

    Intel platform seems like a dumpster fire right now.
