This game was truly ahead of its time. It’s the first time there was a “story” mode in the single player game, like you’d travel to different cities and meet a cast of characters. Like Farid and his French hothatch in the catacombs still sticks in my mind after all these years.
Plus, the bike racing was intense! I think you used the shoulder buttons to lean in on the bike, which added a new element to the gameplay.

You could go from motorcycle mobbing the highway going the wrong way for hours. Then get bored take a sub jack the front way up put it on 22s (shout out big black) and cause traffic jams in the city streets
God my cousin and I must of spent 400 hours on this game easily

Midnight Club 1 and 2 were my childhood played em with my grandpa on a race wheel on PS2 all the time
