Just scored this combo with a TUF B550, 5600X3D, 250gb SSD, 16GB Ram, and 700w PSU for $140. How would y’all complete this build?

  1. From my research on my next upgrade we can comfortably handle up to 7800xt/4070 Super.

Send it to me and I’ll show you…

rx 6700xt or rx6800 and you’re hella set.

Its trash, just send it to me and I will properly dispose of it

buy case, buy 2tb ssd, buy 6700xt or whatever gpu that fits in your budget. maybe get 32gb ram if you want too… I’d also buy a thermalright peerless assassin and lock the fan speed to low rpm since it’s probably gonna draw 100w max.

Turn it into a gaming server for minecraft, 7 days to die, and whatever else i want to host at the time

By immediately replacing that PSU. I don’t want to see a fellow pcmr brothers build going up in flames (literally)

It’s rated F tier in the “cultists PSU tier list” (Google that btw)
At bare minimum, try to grab something from C tier.

That thing is basically a ticking time bomb.

A NH-D15, a 4070 Super and a quiet case such as the fractal define S and you will have the same build as me (it can run anything at 1440p)

  9. insane deal holy fuck.

either try for a gpu sale or scour the used markets for an older high end model,

i bet this platform can handle 3080 ti

hel at this point even grab a 4tb ssd for mass storage.

I have watched some tests of 5600x 5700x 5800x and their x3d versions. I have 5600 and I am jealous about your x3d, cuz he is much better. But I live far from micro centre to buy 5600x3d and prices of 5700x3d and 5800x3d are crazy

RTX 3070 and a case something like a phanteks P400 or P600 cooler master tx3 EVO cooler and a game storage drive something like Samsung 840 evo sata SSD 1TB good price on them now days and then boom solid rig indeed

Thermal take smart! 😨I don’t trust them anymore since it killed my new motherboard 15 minutes after plugging it in. I know it’s the culprit bc it shorted all the capacitors with direct traces to the eps 12v. Who knows tho, my thermaltake smart is a 430w that’s like 5 years old, so you might be completely fine. Just note that gamersnexus reviewed it and discovered that the thing has horrible voltage ripple.

Bigger ssd and whatever GPU you can afford. I have a similar setup in my living room gaming rig (hooked up to TV) with a 7900 XT and I love it

RTX 4070 Super if you just gotta have Ray Tracing or a 7900GRE if you wanna save a little money. And a cheap 1tb SATA drive to toss everything I’m not mainlining in, that 250gb is going to fill up fast.

Nah bro trust me you got scammed. But as a nice person, I offer you $150 to help you with your loss. Kindly send these to me

What type of games do you play predominantly and what kind of resolution/frame rate are you targeting?

  17. AejiGamez

That PSU is garbage. F tier on the list. Dispose of it. Its a literal hazard to your parts

  18. not bad at all, I’d swap the PSU, throw in 4080 or similar, put it in some case and add cooler… also add 2nd ssd

Gt 210, dumpster case and a single 14″ vga display.
